The Ohio Department of Transportation provides funding to support a coordinated effort to offer various types of transportation to clients that reside in Jackson and Vinton Counties.
The Ohio Department of Transportation provides grant funds through the Ohio Coordination Program to assist in the coordination of transportation services among transportation providers. The primary goal of the program is to enhance and expand transportation through coordination in Ohio counties with no public transportation system. The Vinton County Commissioners designed the Jackson-Vinton Community Action Organization to be the lead agency for the Ohio Coordination Program that serves both Jackson and Vinton Counties This program is administered through the ODOT Office of Transit.
